from the Comic Hero News staff
There’s a lot that happens in the world of superheroes everyday, and we at Comic Hero News don’t have the ability to write up a full story about everything, as much as we’d like to. So, we bring you Speeding Bullets – for all of those pieces of news that are fired our way that are worth noticing, but don’t merit a full story in their own right.
- The CW is looking for a Cat Grant to join to the cast of Arrow, according to TV Addict. Why Cat Grant is moving from Metropolis to Star City, who knows?
- Marvel has revealed the first look at Cobbie Smulders as Maria Hill from The Avengers.
- If Powers gets picked up for series, it’ll be looking for a new Deena Pilgrim. Deadline tells us that Lucy Punch has joined another new Fox series, leaving the superhero-procedural without a female lead.
- Disney Productions announced via press release that The Lone Ranger began principal photography last week.
- Valiant has partnered with Sony to bring Bloodshot to the big screen, according to news from JoBlo.com.
- Elizabeth Olsen (yes, that one) has been offered the female lead in Spike Lee’s remake of Oldboy, according to the latest from Collider.
- The New York Post has the first look at the redesigned Captain Marvel, now officially going by the name Shazam. We’ll find out more about the character and his role in the New 52 when he begins appearing in back-up features with Justice League #7 next month.
- HeyUGuys has a look at two new posters for Men In Black III. Can you spot the differences?

I really want to know how he identifies himself.
Reporter: “Great work saving the city! What’s your name hero?”
Shazam: “Umm…. I can’t tell you. But… um… I can write it down for you!”
I’m guessing it’s no longer a word-activated transfomation sequence?
