There’s a lot that happens in the world of superheroes everyday, and we at Comic Hero News don’t have the ability to write up a full story about everything, as much as we’d like to. So, we bring you Speeding Bullets – for all of those pieces of news that are fired our way that are worth noticing, but don’t merit a full story in their own right.
- A relatively small preview day kicks off with three from Comic Book Resources including Fear Itself: Uncanny X-Force #3, Soulfire #3, Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 9 #1 and Rocketeer Adventures #4, while Newsarama gives us a look at Fear Itself #6.
- Marvel.com has an interview with Christos Gage and Sean McKeever about the wrapping up points on their respective Fear Itself tie-ins, Home Front and Youth In Revolt, along with giving us a preview look at Fear Itself: Home Front #6 and Fear Itself: Youth in Revolt #5.
- Some new promo art arrived for The Avengers, thanks to Bleeding Cool.
- Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future is coming to DVD, and TVShowsOnDVD has the full press release about the DVD release.
- There’s a preview over at DC Universe: The Source showing off Jill Thompson’s work on the upcoming The Shade miniseries. The Shade won’t be part of the New 52, but it will begin in October.
- Somehow the Justice Society will be a part of the DC Universe after the New 52 kicks off in September, as was confirmed today over at DC Universe: The Source.
- During Fan Expo Canada 2011, Newsarama learned that Marvel is bringing two more of the Crossgen titles back as miniseries – namely Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Route 666.
- That “Destroy” promo image we displayed last week? During Fan Expo Canada 2011 Marvel.com revealed that it’s the cover for a new miniseries called Destroyers from Fred Van Lente and Kyle Hotz, which has a group of monstrous Marvel heroes fighting to save the world when the monsters (including Devil Dinosaur) attack.
- The first preview clip from THEUNGERGAMES aired tonight during MTV’s Video Music Awards, introduced by Jennifer Lawrence, who plays Katniss in the film. Enjoy!
