Fox doesn’t have a major presence on the floor of Comic Con this year, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have some major developments with the Marvel Movies they have under license.
First off, in X-Men-related news, Wolverine gets some new cast members. tells us that Will Yun Lee and Brian Tee have landed the roles of Harada and Noburo Mori. Harada Mori (Lee) is better known as the Silver Samurai, while Mori is the minister set to marry Wolverine’s lady-love. Speaking of, Hioyuki Sanada, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi and new discoveries Tao Okamoto and Rila Fukushima are all joining The Wolverine as well, playing Shingen, Yashida, Mariko and Yukio, respectively.
But that’s not all. Fox has snagged Chronicle director Josh Trank to reboot Fantastic Four. This is probably a good thing, Chronicle was great, after all, but at the same time, don’t we all kind of want Fox to not make the film and risk losing the license back to Marvel?
And along those lines, Fox is also looking for a new director for the Daredevil reboot. David Slade dropped out, as he is directing a pilot for the series Hannibal. Daredevil is a property Fox needs to move on if they don’t want to risk the rights reverting to Marvel – and we know the House of Ideas/House of Mouse wants to get their characters back in-hand.
