Premiering this weekend at NYCC, Warner Brothers showed off the trailer for Justice League: Doom.
Justice League: Doom has an all-star cast drawn from previous Warner Brother Animated Original films. Reprising their roles from Justice League Unlimited are Batman vocal legend Kevin Conroy, along with Smallville‘s Michael Rosenbaum (The Flash), Susan Eisenberg (Wonder Woman) and Carl Lumbly (Martian Manhunter). Returning from several of the animated films and the Superman animated series is Tim Daly as the Man of Steel, while geek-god Nathan Fillion will return as Hal Jordan – a role many agree he was born to play, and which he pulled off spectacularly in Green Lantern: Emerald Knights.
Justice League: Doom is set to be released on DVD in early 2012 and is based on Mark Waid’s JLA: Tower of Babel story, where Ra’s Al-Ghul steals Batman’s contingency plans for taking down the rest of the League and puts them in action.
Bruce Timm is once again the man behind the scenes as executive producer, while Lauren Montgomery (Batman: Year One, Wonder Woman) steps behind the director’s chair once again. The screenplay was the final work of acclaimed writer Dwayne McDuffie, who passed earlier this year.
