Thor is well known in comics for being even-tempered and patient, prone to rationally considering all courses of action before making his move.
Oh wait, no he isn’t.
The Thunder God is well known for being a hothead, which is what got him banished to Midgard (that’s Earth for you laypeople) in the first place. And as we can see from this new image from Marvel Studio’s Thor, the film version of Thor (played by Chris Hemsworth) will have the same legendary temper.

Directed by Kenneth Branagh, the epic adventure Thor spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment. Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.
Thor stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Rene Russo, Jaimie Alexander, Kat Dennings, Stellan Skarsgard, Idris Elba, Ray Stevenson, Tadanobu Asano, Joshua Dallas, Clark Gregg, and Colm Feore, with a special cameo by Stan Lee.
Lightning strikes with Thor on May 6, 2011.
