Is the Dick Grayson/Starfire Romance Really Over?

Everyone knows that the classic Batman relationship is between Batman and Catwoman. Or, occasionally Batman and Talia al-Ghul.
That is so last Batman.

Uhm, yeah. I kind of thought that the relationship between Dick Grayson and Koriand’r was put to a final rest in the pages of Titans. And I thought that we were finally going to see some sort of completion given to the relationship between Dick and Barbara Gordon.
Apparently not…

I personally always preferred Dick with Kory, an excellent couple that needs to be revisited. Babs is too much like an older sister, and together they seem to bring out the worst in each other that I could never get anything out of their relationship. Anything believable anyway, which is why most of their past history together is retconned.
Babs is annoying now that she can’t walk. Dick seems to pitty her because of this. I think if their relationship does continue, Starfire will eventually move on (oh god I hope it’s with Lobo) and then Dick will realise one day that he’s stuck in a loveless relationship and he can’t do anything about it. I’d love to see him go back to Starfire and for her to just ignore him. That would be great. In the best result, perhaps Barbara might die or better yet Dick will. I can see that happening.
For me, Kingdom Come was very satisfying. Knowing that no matter what happened to the ‘normal’ Dick and Kori, they would always have an alternate dimentional daughter (although Starfire is dead in that dimention and Nightwing is against his daughter).
Also, the image above is unfortunately from a dream of Starfire’s, it’s not really happening. But all of these little hints Starfire keeps dropping could be leading up to something. Hopefully.
