The International Iron Man 2 Poster Arrives!

Earlier this week, we got a glimpse of the first poster for Iron Man 2, which showed Iron Man and War Machine standing back-to-back, and setting up the question about whether the two power-armored characters would be enemies or allies. Now, thanks to Empire Online, we have our first look at the international poster for the film, and while it lacks War Machine, it more than makes up for it with a smoldering glare from Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.)
I think Marvel has perfectly hit the balance for these two posters here. First off, we get the promise of serious action with the domestic poster, and we’re also reminded that we have a very talented, capable and attractive actor in the lead role (and in most of the supporting roles for that matter). It makes me hopeful that Iron Man 2 will capture the same formula that made the first film great. Incredible action, great special effects, Oscar-worthy actors, witty dialogue, and a commitment to the feel of the comics that these characters originated in.
I can’t wait to see the teaser trailer.
