Sterling Gates Reunites Robin and Nightwing in World’s Finest

It would be incredibly cynical of me to suggest that the only reason DC put Dick Grayson inside of Batman’s cowl was to free up the Nightwing name for use in Action Comics, as the Kandorian heroes take the names of Nightwing and Flamebird. So, I won’t.
But I will say that Sterling Gates has done some fun stuff with the characters, and it looks like that trend is continuing. Gates is teaming up with artist Julian Lopez for the first issue of World’s Finest – a new team book that brings the members of the Batman and Superman families together. And that first pairing brings Tim Drake, now known as Red Robin, into contact with Christopher Kent, aka Nightwing, as the two track down a missing Flamebird.
