There’s a lot that happens in the world of superheroes everyday, and we at Comic Hero News don’t have the ability to write up a full story about everything, as much as we’d like to. So, we bring you Speeding Bullets – for all of those pieces of news that are fired our way that are worth noticing, but don’t merit a full story in their own right.

  • Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark may be able to turn the lights back on, thanks to a source of new funding, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Showbiz 411 Blog.
  • According to Masswyrm at Ain’t It Cool News, Solomon Kane is very, very good. Check out his review if you’re curious.
  • The The Plastic Man Comedy/Adventure Show is coming to DVD on October 20, 2009, and MovieWeb has an exclusive clip from the show to get you psyched for it.
  • Thomas Jane, who played Frank Castle in The Punisher spoke to MTV’s Splashpage where he described what he believes is needed in a successful Punisher film. In his eyes, the focus needs to be on the realism, not the comic book elements. Because, you know, the Punisher isn’t a comic book character or anything.
  • Do you remember ThinkGeek’s April Fool’s Day joke: The Tauntaun Sleeping bag, which let your child recreate the memorable scene from Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back by sleeping inside the guts of a Tauntaun? Well, amazingly, they’ve gotten the go-ahead from Lucasfilm to make the darn things, and they should be available in November.
