There’s a lot that happens in the world of superheroes everyday, and we at Comic Hero News don’t have the ability to write up a full story about everything, as much as we’d like to. So, we bring you Speeding Bullets – for all of those pieces of news that are fired our way that are worth noticing, but don’t merit a full story in their own right.
- There’s a new trailer for the Season 3 premiere of Ben 10: Alien Force, with Vilgax returning. Check it out below.
- Champions Online launches today, and Cryptic Chief Creative Officer Jack Emmert told VG247 that there is a plan for between three and four expansions a year.
- Anyone who worried that Marvel would get “kidified” by Disney really needs to look at what the company was already doing. Marvel Super Hero Squad Show, aimed at youngsters, has been in the works for quite some time now. And if you’d like to see some of the concept art for the game, head on over to Marvel.com.
- You know who isn’t worried about the Disney/Marvel purchase? Stan Lee. The Chairman Emeritus has no direct power or ties to Marvel any longer, but in an interview with Reuters, Lee expressed his enthusiasm about the purchase, pointing out that Disney is more than capable of doing more adult fare. “To me, becoming ‘Disneyfied’ is not a bad thing. I mean look at (Disney) movies like Pirates of the Caribbean. Disney knows how to do movies. They know how to do colorful characters and I think the fans, if they think about it, they’re going to love it.”
- It wouldn’t be the Terminator if there wasn’t the promise that “I’ll be back.” And that may still be the case for Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Thomas Dekker, who played John Connor on the show, told The TV Addict.com that there may still be a direct-to-DVD film to wrap up the show.
- It may be launch day for Champions Online, but Marvel doesn’t want you to forget about their upcoming superhero game, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. Yesterday we had concept art of Havok for you, and today Marvel is showing off some concept art for S.H.I.E.L.D. Members, Nick Fury and Maria Hill. Check out the art for Hill below, and head over to Marvel.com to see Fury.
- And while we’re talking about video games, there’s the other superhero MMO. No, not City of Heroes, the upcoming DC Universe Online from Sony Online Entertainment. If you head over to the game’s official site, you can get a look at some new screenshots featuring the members of the Green Lantern Corps.
