One thing that fans of “realism” in comic books often comment on is the fact that an amazingly large proportion of the world’s superhumans tend to be clustered in the United States. Grant Morrison addressed that, in part, when he created The Great Ten for DC Comics, and now the Great Ten are getting their own mini-series, beginning this November.
DC Universe: The Source provided the below cover and preview art, which gives us a hint at what we’ll see in the series, where the gods of Ancient China return to destroy the communist rule in the nation, and the Great Ten find themselves faced with a choice of saving their government, or saving their people. Check out the preview below!
The Great Ten will be written by Tony Bedard, illustrated by Scott McDaniel, and have covers from Stanley Lau. The first issue hits November 4, 2009.
