There’s a lot that happens in the world of superheroes everyday, and we at Comic Hero News don’t have the ability to write up a full story about everything, as much as we’d like to. So, we bring you Speeding Bullets – for all of those pieces of news that are fired our way that are worth noticing, but don’t merit a full story in their own right.

  • Rumors abound about who might be best suited to take up the tiara, golden lasso and invisible plane of Wonder Woman whenever Warner Brothers finally realizes that they need to make it. Now Jennifer Love Hewitt (Ghost Whisperer) is angling for the role, as she told MTV’s Splashpage. Check out the interview with Hewitt below.
  • There is currently bootleg footage from the Kick-Ass, Iron Man 2 and Smallville panels at San Diego Comic-Con floating around YouTube. As much as I’m sure you’d like to watch it, we had to draw some lines in the sand about what we considered it fair to show, and what we had to say “no” to. And in this case, footage from panels where the attendees were told “If you sneak in a camera, you’ll be kicked out of the Con” crosses that line for us. So, hunt for it on YouTube if you’d like, and if you want your first impression to be based on a shaky camera at low-resolution. As soon as the trailers and scenes are available legitimately, look for them here.
  • While we won’t link to pirated footage, we will link to anything legitimate from those films – like this new behind the scenes shot from Iron Man 2 where Marvel Entertainment President Kevin Feige is speaking to Robert Downey, Jr, courtesy of Marvel.com.

  • Tamoh Penikett’s former Battlestar Galactica co-star, Jamie Bamber, will be joining him on Joss Whedon’s D0llhouse season premiere, as was revealed to E! Online. And if that wasn’t enough, The Chicago Tribune
  • reveals that Michael Hogan will be showing up in episode two.

  • Marcus Nispel, who will be directing the new Conan movie, took the time to answer some questions posed to him by readers of Conan Movie Blog. Click on over to see how the director plans to attack the new adaptation of Robert E. Howard’s most famous barbarian hero.
