Do You Dare to Venture Inside Arkham Asylum in Arkham Reborn?
Jul 9th, 2009 | By Aaron | Category: Articles, News, Superheroes in Comicsby Aaron Einhorn
Arkham Asylum isn’t just a place where the craziest and most dangerous members of Batman’s rogues gallery go. It is a state of mind, a symbol of insanity, and in many cases, a character in its’ own right. This was made patently clear in Grant Morrison’s Arkham Asylum graphic novel. And so, with the destruction of the asylum during Battle for the Cowl, and Jeremiah Arkham’s “revelations” about rebuilding it, it was only a matter of time before the house was reborn.
Enter Arkham Reborn, written by David Hine with art by Jeremy Haun. Dr. Arkham rebuilds the Asylum following the design of his insane uncle, Amadeus, and what starts off with the best of intentions transforms the Asylum into a home that will make you insane if you weren’t already that way.
The first issue hits just before Halloween on October 28, 2009. Check out a gorgeous (and more than a little disturbing) look a the cover for Issue 1 from Frazer Irving below. And remember – you don’t have to be crazy to work here, but it sure helps.
